
President, The Story Companies
Victor B. Story, Jr. is president of The Story Companies, a group of family-owned corporations including citrus landing holdings, citrus management, citrus harvesting and marketing in Lake Wales. He oversees the management and care of 5,000 acres of producing citrus.
A lifetime member of the citrus industry, Story has been active on the Citrus Research and Education Foundation and is the west area vice president for Florida Citrus Mutual.
Story is very involved in the community currently serving on the Polk County Charter Review Committee. Previously, he has held numerous positions including president of Polk County Farm Bureau, co-chairman of Concerned Property Owners of Polk County, mayor and city commissioner of Lake Wales and former chairman and board member of Polk County Farm Service Agency. He has participated on Polk County BoCC’s Farm Labor Housing Task Force and is a member of the American Legion Post 71.
Story attended Polk Community College, Florida Southern College and the University of Florida.
He serves as vice-chair of the Administrative & Budget Committee.
