Michael L. Carrere has been involved in the citrus industry for 30 years. He is executive vice president of Lykes Bros. Inc. and also serves on the Board of Directors of Lykes Bros. Carrere is responsible for managing all citrus operations including growing, harvesting, processing, marketing and sales. He is also responsible for corporate human resources, acquisitions and divestitures.

Before his direct citrus involvement at Lykes Bros. Inc., Carrere managed Lykes' Meat Group, the largest meat processor and packer in the Southeast, including four plants that manufactured a full line of fresh and branded processed meats.

Carrere holds a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Duke University/Fuqua Business School and serves on the Florida Citrus Commission, Chairman of the Legal, Government and Regulatory Committee, member of the Citrus Tariff Oversight Committee, Special Industry Committee and Chairman of the Greening Oversight Task Force.

He serves as chair of the Legal/Government/Regulatory Committee.
