Citrus Division Manager, McArthur Farms, Inc.

E. Stanley Carter is citrus division manager for McArthur Farms, Inc., a dairy, cattle and citrus operation located in Okeechobee. Carter directs and manages 1,700 acres of citrus groves and is responsible for growing and marketing fresh and processed fruit.

Previously, Carter was general manager of Sullivan Packing Company in Brevard County where he was responsible for gift and commercial packing and shipping along with grove management. He also worked for Golden River Packing Company in Vero Beach and Carter Citrus Services, Inc.

Carter has been active in the citrus industry for 56 years and has been involved and held offices with many industry associations: Florida Production Managers Association, Indian River Citrus League, St. Lucie County Extension Advisory Board, Florida Citrus Mutual, Florida Farm Bureau, and Citrus Best Management Practices Steering Committee.

He attended University of Florida and Florida Southern College.

Carter serves chair of the Research Committee.
